I do not charge a diagnostic fee or call-out fee. The ONLY way I make money is by an hourly rate, which does not apply until we have clearly agreed the actual work will commence. I do not make money on components or parts, and pass any cost straight to you. I always provide a quote for the work required beforehand and if the work exceeds the hours quoted then I STILL stick to the quote!
Ethics and integrity
Manc Mac Support works on the principles of good will and ethics: from the start I’ll honestly evaluate your issue and if it’s something you can fix easily then I’ll tell you immediately. If it’s a problem I cannot help with then again I’ll let you know, and if necessary advise an alternative support route. I take on work only if it’s for my client's benefit — and only if there's actually work that needs doing! — explaining clearly and honestly at every step, with frequent updates if necessary.

Manc Mac Support is run by Keir Thomas-Bryant, who along with a case full of tools and diagnostic equipment has two decades of experience and knowledge of Apple IT. The author of several major textbooks about Apple hardware, and a blogger for Macworld magazine, he offers an unparalleled level of expertise, plus massive experience of working within the creative industries himself.
